Patrick boasts a legal background and a wealth of experience. Following his law studies at the University Robert Schuman Strasbourg (Maîtrise in 1994, Master’s in European law litigation in 2000), he practiced as a lawyer at the Luxembourg Bar Association from 1995 to 2014.
His extensive expertise lies in export control compliance projects. Since 2013, Patrick has been instrumental in advising numerous Luxembourg-based actors, including multinational and space companies. His contributions involve drafting and implementing Internal Compliance Programs (ICPs), enabling these entities to pursue global licenses. Engaged in license applications and management, he also serves as an external export control compliance officer for several companies. Patrick spearheads training sessions and conducts audits in this domain.
He established and manages the ‘Export Control Compliance Officers in the EU’ LinkedIn group, fostering a community of over 700 members (open by invitation only). Regularly sharing insightful articles, news, and legal updates, he is proficient in English, French, German, and Luxembourgish.
