Change in licensing authorities for export control

Export Control News

According to the new Internal Regulation of the Luxembourg Government, the Office for Control of Exports, Imports, and Transits is now part of the competences of the Minister for Foreign and European affairs, for Defence, for Cooperation and Foreign Trade. A move away from the Ministry of Economy.

Export licenses will now be in the hands of one sole Member of Government, having in his attributions both Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.

A change that has been published and entered into force on 27 November 2023.
